What to expect

Escape the crowds and experience the breathtaking beauty of the Andaman with Sea Lion Travel’s premier Cove Collector expedition. We pick you up from your Krabi hotel between 8:00 and 8:45 am, ensuring a smooth start as the day warms up for your island adventure. Meet our legendary, friendly crew at Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang around 7:00 am and embark on a thrilling speedboat ride, making a quick stop at Railay Beach to collect fellow adventurers.

Our journey begins at Phi Phi Leh, arriving while the island is still peaceful. Witness the iconic Maya Bay and capture stunning photos before the masses arrive. Next, we unlock the heart of the trip: The 40-Minute Cove Collector Experience. Here, you have the unique option to switch to a traditional longtail boat. Glide silently into secret, shallow coves and limestone indents for 40 minutes of intimate exploration that big boats simply cannot reach. Dive into the emerald Pileh Lagoon for premium snorkeling amidst vibrant coral reefs, with all high-quality gear provided by our attentive crew.

As we cruise past Viking Cave, learn about the local history and keep an eye out for the playful residents of Monkey Beach. By midday, we arrive at Phi Phi Don Island to savor a delicious lunch at Phi Phi Arida restaurant. Take some time to explore the vibrant island atmosphere before we continue our adventure.

In the afternoon, find your zen on the white sands of Bamboo Island. This heart-shaped paradise offers incredible shallow-water snorkeling and lush Casuarina shade, perfect for those seeking a tranquil escape away from the standard tourist path.

We begin our return journey to Ao Nang at 3:30 pm, arriving at the pier with the sun still high. Our team will transfer you back to your hotel by 4:30 pm, leaving you with a full collection of memories from the secret side of Phi Phi.

Important Information

  • Bring a towel, waterproof bag, swimwear, sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, water shoes or flip flops and a camera.
  • Notable rules at Maya Bay include no swimming, no single-use plastics, using reef-safe sunscreen and no use of drones without permission.
  • While Monkey Beach isn't a direct stop, you can still observe the monkeys when the tide is low.
  • Don't feed the monkeys as it makes them aggressive and stops them from foraging for food as they would normally do.
  • During certain seasons, jellyfish may be present in the Andaman Sea, and contact can cause skin irritation or discomfort. To minimize the risk, we recommend wearing protective clothing such as watershoes and long swimwear when swimming.
  • Ensuring your safety is our top priority. To that end, we strongly recommend wearing a life jacket throughout the entire boat ride to the islands and while snorkeling.
  • Speedboats navigate close to the shoreline, allowing passengers a convenient and effortless transition to the beach.
  • While flip-flops are convenient, water shoes offer better protection against sharp objects like shells or rocks on the sand, and provide improved traction on wet surfaces.
  • Shorts are ideal as they dry quickly and allow for greater freedom of movement, especially if the water level reaches above your knees when getting on or off the boat.
  • Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation will close Maya Bay every year for 2 months in August and September.
  • There is a minimum of 15 people required to run this activity! On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel this trip, we will inform you in advance and offer a different travel date, an alternative activity or provide a full refund.
