What to expect
Escape from the crowds and visit the Elephant Care House at the foot of Khao Phanom Bencha mountain only a 15-minute drive from Krabi Town. It is surrounded by untouched lush forests and mountain ranges and boasts Krabi’s highest altitude at 1,397 meters above the sea level, home to natural wonders like waterfalls, streams and caves.
The elephants belong to the locals and are treated like a family. A strong belief in human-elephant interaction is what makes Krabi Elephant House so special. You are able to have a life-enhancing experience with these magnificent animals and learn about them in a natural and relaxed environment.
Walk with the elephants along a stream in the jungle and watch how they take a muddy bath. You can clean the elephant's skin and even take a bath with them. Feed them pineapples and bananas, and observe these gentle giants as they enjoy their newfound freedom.
At midday you will strengthen yourself with a healthy Thai style meal at the sanctuary prepared from the local cook, so that you will be ready for the afternoon activity.
Extend the ethical elephant interaction with a short trek to the 7-level Huay Tho Waterfall, where you can swim under the fall. A dip in the waterfall ponds is the perfect way to cool off and relax while taking in the surrounding vista of the national park, with its 1,500 fruit trees and tropical flora and fauna.

- 08:00 - 08:45: Hotel pickup in Krabi
- 08:45 - 09:45: Transfer to the elephant camp
- 09:45 - 10:00: Meet the guide and change clothes
- 10:00 - 10:45: Walk with the elephants along a stream
- 10:45 - 11:00: Apply a muddy treatment to the elephant's skin
- 11:00 - 12:00: Bath with the elephants and give food
- 12:00 - 13:00: Enjoy a picnic lunch with Thai food
- 13:00 - 14:00: Short trek and swim at Huay Tho Waterfall
- 14:00 - 14:30: Transfer back to your hotel

Important Information
- Bring sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, bathing suits, towel, extra shirt, walking shoes, camera and insect repellent.
- Not only do elephants roam free but they also can disengage from contact at will.
- The sanctuary does not offer any riding activity!
- There is a minimum of 2 people required to run this activity! On the rare occasion that we should be required to cancel this trip, we will inform you in advance and offer a different travel date, an alternative activity or provide a full refund.
